Watching DFAS Lectures Online via Zoom Webinar Format
What to do on the night…
- Close down anything else you may have been working on to ensure that your computer runs well during the presentation.
- Click the link sent by email. If that does not connect you to Zoom, copy and paste the link into your internet browser
(what you use to Google stuff with).
- You can join early but the webinar will not go live until just before the starting time.
- You cannot participate other than watching or asking a question through the Q&A facility
- You will automatically be on mute so all you have to do is sit back and enjoy…
You do not need to have a Zoom account to watch the webinar.
- Just click on the link that says “Join from your browser”
- It will ask for your name and email address but these are not shared with anyone.

1) The presentation is best viewed in full screen so make sure you click on the small box in the top right hand corner of your screen that says Enter Full Screen.

2) The Chair will be turning their video off, but their identity screen and the Lecturer will still be in visible in the right-hand corner. Hover above the small screens and you should see 3 buttons.
– If you want to see the Lecturer, click on the middle button, which displays the person speaking only.
– If you prefer not to see the Lecturer click the one on the left (smallest) and it will remove the small screens entirely.

3) If you want to ask a question, please click on the Q&A button at the bottom of the screen and type in your question for the Lecturer to answer at the end
